Any Job Opportunities for 50 year old college graduates?

My mother is an experienced AP/AR Associate (9 years of experience in the US) and recently graduated with BA in Accounting and has another BS in Accounting from her native country with 18 years experience as a Senior Accountant/Economist. Is there any chance for her to get hired based on her age and experience? If you know anybody or websites, companies please help. Thank you in advance!!!

Yes, she has plenty of experience and education to handle the job. I dont know what type of salary she would like to command but that will influence some of the decisions to hire her. She might not be the ideal candidate for small start up companies who may want a younger and cheaper employee. But for well established... More

I am a 53 YO newly endowd with a BS. No one will hire someone like us. The good money is on the young kids, unfortunately. I suggest she hang a shingle and go freelance like I have.
