Are pharmacy jobs harder to get at a hospital?

is it harder to get a pharmacist job at a hospital then a retail store.

To use Texas as an example; There are 560 hospitals in Texas and over 590 Walgreen Pharmacies alone. That does not include all the other pharmacy chains, the discount stores (such as Walmart) and grocery stores and privately owned pharmacies in the state. There are fewer hospital jobs, and the number of limited hospital pharmacy jobs have decreased in the recent years because of budget cuts.

Not necessarily. If you're looking for a pharmacy job within a hospital, look for one in a hospital that's a "teaching hospital", meaning one that's a university as well as a hospital. Hospitals like those usually offer extra money for recruiting certain professionals, such as nurses, respiratory therapists... More

yes......plain and simple. There are several reasons, but the main one being hospitals are increasingly requiring residencies to work on the floors.
