Need tips on gaining confidence in my new job as a cashier?

I recently immigrated to the US. I have just started the other day working as a cashier+photo developer+store maintenance guy at an Osco store. I mostly feel intimidated of the cashier job - I mainly fear I would make a money related mistake (until this day I can't tell the differences between all the different US coins) or not give the costumers a good enough service. Any tips you can give me to overcome my cashier fear would be gladly appreciated. Maybe there is any computer software which would help me practice that skill?
