Why are the Soaps writers not on strike?

(The strike has been on a lot longer than 6 weeks (apparently how long the soaps are shot before airing) yet the soaps are still new...)

Maybe they are. I was forced to watch by my older sister growing up. Those stories move so slow shakespeare could have written them. He may be on strike.

Soaps are taped 6-8 weeks ahead, but they are written months and months ahead, so it didn't affect too many soaps.

They are...the 2nd stringers are writing them right now...ugh But the strike is about to be settled..

Soap operas are taped so far in advance they have shows 'saved' up. This is why you they'll never say exactly what day or time of day it is. It's just all of a sudden Christmas or Easter or some other holiday.

They were on strike, but they write really far in advance so they didn't run out of new episodes. I think they said they had new episodes to March, but now it doesn't matter becasue the strike is over. part of that has to do with the fact that fans can hate a storyline, so they have time to change it if they wrote in...
