What is the difference between a nursery nurse and a nursery assistant?

A Nursery Nurse has a formal qualification - NNEB - which requires at least two years college training and she can run her own nursery, be left in charge of pre-school age children and can supervise non-qualified staff. Nursery Nurses are qualified and been to college wheras nursery assistants are not qualified but may have just worked with kids and have the experience or maybe been on some training

Nursery Nurse is higher up than a nursery assistant also doesn't need the same formal qualifications. Nursery Nurses need level 3's in childcare.
