Wives here's another one...?

Okay. Thanks to you all for helping me on the last one. My mother-in-law is illiterate. She has been in this country (USA) for over 35 years now, and cannot read, write or spell (at all!) Her previous employments consisted of labor jobs with no brainwork involved. I have told her before that back then, you could survive by having a labor job, now-a-days it's all technology. Back then you could use your back, now you MUST use your brain. Like I said, she is lazy, she has been unemployed for over a year. I tried to convince her to pick up a book, go to the library or even go to a continuation school for adults (since she is unemployed). I told her that I would help her, when I help my 6 year old daughter with her homework. I bought her books, notepads & printed out ABC's for her. She refuses. Got any suggestions? P.S. she is living with my family for those who missed the last Q and A's I'm trying to help her (and our family) and move her out fast!

there's nothing that you can do if she doesn't want to do it. you can't make her. she'll figure it out when she's 87 and still working at wal-mart.

Forget about it. She's not willing to help herself.
