Look wisely at candidates, propositions, and more. In most states, there is STILL time to get a petition going for anything you can think of that matters and get it on November's ballot. Who is in Congress is EQUALLY as important as who is president--people don't fully understand the job descriptions from the way they talk. The LOCAL officials are also vitally important to our quality of life.
If people would educate themselves on finances they'd be better off. Best all-around finance book in my view:
Michael J Laurence's
Your Money Rules for Financial Freedom
Best author on economics?
Thomas Sowell
Read his columns and his books--then try to get politicians to do the same.
Look at what matters and EDUCATE yourself from legit sources and then contact your pols, the media, etc. and try to get REAL ideas and real solutions discussed.
Example, for health care, best plan by 5 miles:
QUALITY, ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE health care for all.
That means preventative care (physical with follow up). Real medication (no Medicare "donut holes" the really ill are ripped off again.) No bogus ridiculously low "caps" on needed medical procedures. No abuse of the ER. No paying for the silly with the sniffles to go to the doc for free. No more bankruptcies over medical bills. I want THIS plan that ends abuse of the taxpayer, takes the burden off employers, provides price transparency, and ends the rip-off of the US taxpayer at the hands of greedy insurance CEOs (which has been repeatedly documented).

For personal "boosting," APPRECIATE what you've got. There is a reason that even with all our problems MILLIONS would literally risk their lives to get here in a heartbeat. Spend time with family and friends--don't fall into the BS of fighting, resentment, etc. Be thankful to God for what we've got--we are blessed though we are undoubtedly stressed.
The more we feel burdened, the more we need to reach out and help someone else--there is NO better medicine. Even if you were a quad in a bed you could pray for people, you could talk on the phone, you could be a friend. Be hard to be in a worse off position and STILL your life has meaning and CAN be a positive force for good.
Reject negativity and seek out solutions in gratitude.
