Why do people think Superman Returns sucks?

And please give me a straight and honest detailed opinion!!! I think it was a realatively good superman film... not the best as the origonals, but just as good. Granted people just don't like Brandon Ruth playing Superman... but I think he did a pretty good job. The only thing that I thought ruined the film was having them take Superman to the hospital and have them thinking he died. I also think that Superman should've have been simply beaten by Lex's thugs on the kryptonite landmass... it seemed too unrealistic! And even if the ending was vauge and left out anything important; it was still bitter sweet! And I didn't even find it too bad that Lois' kid was actually Superman's! :D

I personally thought the movie was boring. It seemed too long and drawn out. Having the guy who played kumar as a villian did help the cause either, everytime i saw him i giggled a little bit. If they would have cut about an hour off the movie i would have enjoyed it more.

Having grown up with Superman, my problem with the film was that the people in it weren't playing the characters - it wasn't Lois, it was a woman reporter; it wasn't Perry White, it was a boss; it wasn't Jimmy Olson, it was a young kid. The Superman was okay, but changing his eye color with that special effect made... More

Lois was boring and she saddled another guy with Superman's kid unless she doesn't know it his because he had sex with her and zapped her memory, he leaves earth to find krypton for 5 years only to find out it dead which seems kinda pointless and they didn't bother showing dead Krypton even though filmed it. After he... More

Superman Returns Was Alright. I Like The Bold And Improved Costume. Brandon Routh I Believe Is Too Young To Portray Superman. He's Only 28 Now w*f!
