Accounting 101?

I am trying to get on as a Jr.Accountant with my company, but I literally don't know much along the lines of accounting terms because I have yet to take accounting in school. The reason I'm applying for the job is for 1. to get out of the position I'm in now (I'm an Accounts Payable Coordinator) and 2. Basically what I need is the basics - I know they're going to throw some word problems my way and I need to know debit, credit, revenue and a situation with "What do you do when you're going to invoice someone" - Any advice to help me through the interview? Thank you!

My advice: forget it. You are trying to apply for a position that you have no skills in. What is that about? You want that kind of job? Then get the skills it requires by taking some courses. That's a no-brainer!
