Where can felon's work?

I live in Northern Kentucky. I have a friend who's been clean and out of trouble for 7 years. Him and his wife have both been working so hard to stay on the narrow path. Their only problem is finding a job they can keep. They have to go through temp agencies and work a few days here and there. They need a real job to be able to move on in life. What are people who are trying suppose to do? Sorry. I did not realize it was the wrong area. I went with where yahoo put me.
