How possible is it to move up in job?
I graduated from college a few months ago with a degree in Business Admin. I am having a hard time finding the right job and am getting frustrated not being able to work. I am not taking just "any" job because I am afraid of getting stuck and having no time to look for the right job. Some people are advising me to not be afraid of starting low because of opportunities to move up. I just wanted to know experiences where you started at a low level position and was able to move up to something you enjoy. Thanks in advance!

My experience is that if you want to maximize your promotions it is best to look to a company other then the one you are working for. You apply for the level you want to be at and because you already have a job it gives you leverage in negotiations. It makes it a lot easier to say no thank you and not take the job... More
