How much should I charge someone if I were to make a simple dress for a child?

I am not an expert seamstress or anything, I just like to sew and make things mostly for my kids and some friends. Some people have seen the things I have made and ask me how much they would have to pay for me to make something for them. I don't know what a reasonable price would be. Any advice?

It really depends on what kind of dress they want you to make and how hard it will be for you to make.

Probably the cost of supplies and then maybe an extra $10 or so.

Check the Consumer Price Index for wages in your area for people doing that kind of work.

10 bucks tops. I'd actually charge 5 bucks, but 10 isn't bad for today's modern world.
