How long does it take to get to Staten Island from Manhattan?

I'm thinking of moving to Staten Island, but I have a job in the city. I want to know if it's going to be impossible to commute. Also, if I move, I am wondering how it would be possible to get someone to drive there to move my stuff. Anyone got the answers? Thanks!

It's 25 minutes by ferry. Thousands of people commute from Staten Island to Manhattan every day, so it's definitely not impossible.
