I want to attend school for ultrasound technology. I wanted to know is there a disadvantage to go to a school
that offers courses for a year opposed to attending a four year college? Meaning will there be a big difference of a disadvange as far as getting a job.

A technician with a diploma for any given skill, ultrasound technologist, X-ray technician, EMT, etc. will never make as much money as someone wirh a bachelor's degree, nor will they have the respect and prestige of a college graduate.

If you want to learn ultrasound, you better go to college for it or an accredited school. Either way you have to do it if you are willing to learn sonography and is eligible to take the ARRT registry or the ARDMS. There is no disadvantage of going to school.
