I am hoping to move from Michigan to North Carolina to find a teaching job.Is this a good idea?

I am going down there next week for the Teacher Job Fair. Has anyone else relocated to North Carolina and found a teaching job? Are you happy there?

Teaching jobs are fairly easy to find in North Carolina. You didn't say what you will be teaching but it shouldn't be a problem, I would say if you can find an opening in the Piedmont Triad that would be the best place to live and teach.I live in Winston-Salem and we are not too far from the coast or mountains. Hmm well. Housing is a lot cheaper there at least compared to where I live but pay is less. If you get what you make now than go for it. I think the school systems are supposed to be pretty good. I think you will love it in NC. I go there quite often and love it. I would love to live there.

Yes, North Carolina is beautiful and the people are very friendly. So much to do and see; a real tourist trap. So much history and great architecture. It can get a little hot and humid; something you will have to adjust to. A very diverse population. Good Luck!
