Is it any surprise, after Gordon Brown was given the Premiership without a challenge from spineless Labour?

MPs, people in America ask the question ' Gordon who? wants to see me " Some candidate's just for the Democratic or Republican nomination have spent the last 4 years working for that goal and lost, but numpty Brown gets the top job without a vote cast in a matter of days. Now he is on American T.V so that people can know who he is.....Isn't our democracy becoming an International embarrassment?

The fact Gordon Brown has not received a mandate of his own is always going to undermine his status as a World Leader. I expect it was the same for John Major until he went to the people in a General Election.
