My husbands health?

Ok, my Husband has been having seizures almost non-stop for about 2 months. He started off just having 4 or 5 a day, and now it's up for 20-30 a day. We have been to the doctor's so many times, and he been thru so many tests. Well after his EEG came back normal a few weeks ago, they told us that we would have to go to Marshfield, WI for further testing, for about a week. Well he obviously is unable to work, and I lost my job the morning he ended up in the hospital when we had to go do more testing. We live in Escanaba, MI, and going to Marshfield is not in our price range with gas prices at almost $4 a gallon. Does anyone know of any way we can get some sort of donations or help with getting the money saved up to go to Marshfield? Without going my husband may never work again without pay. But if he goes to Marshfield, we will atleast have an answer of what's causing it and if he's allowed to work again! I need help and need it fast. I have contacted every organization, but got nothing. This might sound bad but actually he has excellent insurance. He's my fiance still, but he also isn't divorced yet. His wife, well soon to be ex-wife, works at the hospital we've been going to, and everything is covered. Marshfield, being there, would also be covered. It's just getting there. And we know for a fact that he can't get disability or anything like that b/c he's not disabled yet.

Let's see now. Male, probably white, too sick to work, no insurance, no money. Sounds like he should qualify for Social Security disability and Medicare, but that could take couple of years. Maybe Medicaide? Ummm. White male...not likely, but worth a try. 'Course, you can't have hardly any assets. And Marshfield might... More
