What are some American markets in which people are fearful of losing jobs?

Many Americans worry that allowing free trade will weaken the economy and rob Americans of jobs. Name some markets about which people are concerned and list some of the reasons that are given in support of a protectionist policy. What reasons might there be to support free trade in these markets? How could you explain these reasons so that people could easily understand them? And yes, this is a homework question, but it's an open book question. So....please help! Thank you!!! :-)

There's next to zero manufacturing left in the US. Those of us in that sector are not "afraid" anymore than we are surprised that we are still hanging in there. People that work in manufacturing and industry are in fear of losing their jobs because of outsourcing. Many companies are having their products made overseas because it is cheaper for them and gives them the ability to remain profitable.
