What jobs in the Navy are being sent to Iraq or Afghanistan ?

I want to join the Navy but I have heard that there are certain jobs in the Navy that go to Iraq & Afghanistan such as SeaBees, Logistics & ect. but I don't know much more then that so i was wondering if someone with more experience about the Navy can give me more details about the jobs

Sadly almost every rating is being sent. That doesn't mean every job though. Each rating is broken down even further by NEC's and that is what decides if you end up over there. They have to have a need for that NEC. Just went through this with my wife she almost had to go but they changed the NEC's needed for her... More

Just about any of them. Don't be foolish and pick your Rate based on the fear about where you might be sent. Pick a Rate that you find interesting and think you'll be happy doing. It makes for a much better experience.

If you are wanting to pick a rate so you can get some combat time, join specops, or the marine corps. If you are trying to stay out of combat, don't insult the armed forces. Go to college or join the National Guard Reserves

If you don't want to go to war, in time of war, don't join the military. However, the Navy is your safest bet.
