How can I become a nurse as a single mom with a full time job?

I have a B.S. in computers and an M.Ed. however; I don't feel like I am in the job I am supposed to be in. I always find myself thinking about chucking it all and going back to school to become a nurse. I qualify for the year-long accelerated programs; however, they are only offered during the day and they also don't recommend that you work during the program. I just feel like it's a lost cause and I will never fulfill my dream. I have thought about student loans and grants but we are talking about SERIOUS debt to cover all of my bills for a year.

You might try an LPN program. They generally have better hours, then you could do a LPN to RN? Whatever you choose I would reccomend shadowing a nurse first to make sure it's what you want to do. Good luck!!
