I am thinking of starting my own outside corporate catering company?

i am thinking of starting my own business after my a-levels in corporate catering, offering quality food, marquees, events management, waiters, etc. I do not have any experience in this sector but i am told there is none needed, although i am not an experienceed in catering, i was hoping to be involved in the business side of things, and empoy a head chef to oversee the food preperations, and events manager to organise the events, etc, and myself to act as the managing director, is this venture viable?

It is (probably) viable, you can get free advice from your local chamber of trade plus from your bank's business manager. There may alo be a 'small business forum' where you live and they too offer a wealth of advice - plus it is from local buisness so the folk know what they are talking about.
