Would it be better to major in Business Admin or Marketing to become a Marketing Manager?

I want to began my career in marketing, to eventually become a Marketing Manager, and did some research. I've found that it is a good idea to earn your associates in Business Administrations first then your bachelor's in Marketing. But i also see that a Bachelor's in Business Admin with an emphasis in Marketing is preferred. Please someone help me!!
