What kind of jobs and opportunities does a degree in journalism open up?

I'm getting ready to start a major and have been interested in journalism but i don't know a whole lot about it..anyone a journalist of some sort? just try to be helpful, i would like to know what kind of job fields besides just writing articles and what not that i could get int all of your feedback is greatly appreciated :D thanks. The other responses so far are good. The big advantage that the journalism degree gives you when you go into other writing fields is that you understand the media and how to get your message into print. It helps if you have some good journalism experience to take into that other field... More

There are many options but you would be hammering down what you wanted through internships during your college years so you can land that job you want upon graduation.
