Why is it so many people are finding becoming a school teacher so appealing?

No offense, but it seems like being a teacher wouldn't be that good of a job anyway. Sure there is good benefits, like health insurance, retirement, etc, but you would have to put up with bratty kids all day long and you wouldn't get paid well. If you are going to teach, why not become a college professor, cause then you would at least make ten times more money than what would you make if you were a elementary, middle, or high school teacher.
