How to stop him from firing her ?

Me and my elder bro are partners in business. recently a cute engineer joined my company . I admire and like her for high talents. But my bro[married] is the senior guy and he guides the girl. He is more talented and good looking. He tried to impress her and i stopped his overtures very soon.[By indicating his wife that we have a pretty girl at office working under him]. He once got mad at me for another thing and we had arguments. He said he does not want to work with me. we patched up later. He also said the girl is not performing ...i will fire her.[the girl was actually not performing but firing her is bit hard step]. The girl is absent today....its monday blues or she is looking for a job or she is really having a backache.. Bro is repeating this ..she is not performing ....and her salary is high too....need to give her notice for leaving job... but he is doing things in subtle manner without going overboard. he does not want to show that his wife probably wants the girl out. if i say dont fire her he will say ...we have deadline.... we hired her after taking tech tests and she left a big job for us ..i feel bad for her ...and even her absence today makes me feel sad... i want to ask her and express myself little later. The tiff between me and bro will spoil her career. i am acting mean.... why things are so difficult ... i tried giving her space ..i hardly talk to her in office...

you're partners. meaning you have equal share, right? so don't you have the power to just be like no, don't fire her? or if he fires her, hire her again. lol. or just marry her. seriously, you need to marry her, instead of posting so many questions about her! :D
