Navy Housing -Married with Kids?

Joining the navy, enlisted, healthcare, married with 2 kids - what will the housing be like?? Thanks Rank is E5

It can really depend on where you are going to be stationed at. If your children are under 10 and the same sex there is a possibility depending on what is available that you will only get a 2 bedroom. If they are opposite sex then the standard is 6 years old. depends where u are stationed i have been to some nice mc bases and some crappy ones!

depends if you live on not sure with the navy but i know with the air force there is normally at least a two year you will have to find something off base and that will be up to you what neighborhood where how much rent etc. they will give you money for housing....but base housing usually looks... my first question is how is he just enlisting and going in as an E-5 i dont think thats possible unless he is prior service and if he is prior he should know the drill....the healthcare is going to be the same that everybody else gets and the housing all depends on where you are some of hte housing is better than... It really depends on where you are going to be stationed, how old the housing is, and your standards. Home is what you make of it. We lived in a really old house once that was all cinderblock and hard floors. We didn't have much since we had just got married, it was awful. But others had taken the same space and cut... More

You will need a three bedroom unless the children are the same sex and the age difference is significant. Then you will get a 2 bedroom... It does depend where you live and what the housing area that you rate according to your rank. Here on the USMC base in 29 Palms, the housing for my husband as an E-5 is pretty nice.
