My reserve contract is up and i want to switch to the IRR, would i get in trouble if i jus stop showing up?
ok i've spent 4 years in the army(active duty), serving one of those in iraq, after my contract was up i signed up for 1 year in the army reserve in there "try a year program", well im leaving the country to except a job in iraq as a civlian contractor, and my unit is telling me i have to get a form signed by the battalion commander releaseing me w*f?????? i did my year and these people are giving me a hard time, and im thinking about stop showing up to drills and jus leave , could i really be held liable for this???

There's a checkout sheet that has to get signed off on by the reserve chain of command (at your reserve center only). It should be signed off by Medical, s1, s3, 1st sgt, XO, CO and supply (if any gear was issued that needs to be turned in). I know, i******y.
