A question about the Death Penalty-and I swear Yahoo if you delete this because it's "not a question" I'll sue

Many people who are alive deserve to die... Many people who are dead deserve to live. If you can't give life to those who are dead and deserve to live, then what gives you the authority to take take life away from those who are alive and deserve to die? Brown948: What gives you the authority to take take life away from those who are alive and deserve to die? How is that not a question? David M: That is an incredibly well thought out answer.

Why does a person "deserve" to live or die? Who makes the decision on that question? How does disease and natural disasters figure into your question regarding those who have died? You have asked a good question, but not one capable of a definitive answer. Project Innocence has found about 1,000 persons wrongly... More

confusingly worded.....no one has the authority to say who lives and who dies end of story. The death penalty is just a barbaric practice in hypocrisy, and makes a mockery of the basic moral that two wrongs don't make a right.

I understand what you're saying . It's almost like 12 jurors playing God. The American justice system is not perfect. If thousands of people have been acquitted because of DNA, I'm sure some innocent people have been executed as well.

If someone ever rapes or harms my little brother, you can be sure that I have all authority to take away that person's life. We can't never bring back the JFKs, Ritchie Valens, or MLKs of our world. But why would we allow to live the depraved, psychotic, and treacherous beings? We would be doing people a favor by... More
