is the navy family oriented like the air force?

i know the air force takes really good care of its people. does the navy?

First and foremost a correction that the military does not support families... While the retiree describes many things he missed, this is a hazard of many occupations and not just the military. Family will become extinguished , Capitalism itself does it. We will not need to do it. (btw, family is the corner stone of Capitalism) Another sign of its agony.

i agree with patrick. i can't tell you how many things my husband has missed at home, but then i can also say that i wouldn't trade being in a Military family either. who takes care of the families is the spouse, not the Military. my husband being in made me who i am today, and hopefully will make our daughter... As with any branch of the military, a family is going to have to make sacrifices. Daddy will miss birthdays and dance recitals. Mommy will miss Christmas and the Spring play.
