What is an example of a "dead-end" job?

I heard it commercials from Everest College, and the Bryman School in Phoenix, and they have me thinking a lot!

Fast food jobs are examples. They are types of jobs that most people don't see as a source of enjoyment or way to get promoted.

It could be any job that has no future. Like a job that maxes out at $8.00 an hour. Also it could be any job which one cannot acieve their full potential in doing.
