Why is the American public being manipulated into nearly stopping all travel and heating and air conditioning?

What is the ulltimate goal of our government and investment banking? Is it to get us to pay for the war and the losses of the subprime crisis through energy and food costs? Isn't this like an unwritten tax, only more severe to the middle class?

I doubt our government has any real role in the crises. Hell, I dont think banks do either! Food and energy are scarce, hence the price is bound to increase.

you're not being manipulated, you are simply victim of those whom you elected. Deny force and you won't be a victim.
