How much money do the satellite installers for direct tv make?

I am asking about the ones that go out and repair broken satellites, and mount them on the sides of people houses? The entry level technicians. I mean the ones that work for companies, not independent contractors. The guys who do it for direct TV or any of those other companies who get an actual salary as opposed to I get to work if work is needed

Technically, you don't mount satellites on people's houses. They get launced into space and the people who do that get paid a ton of money. You're talking about putting a dish on the house, and people who do that only get a fraction of the pay a satellite technician would... More

unfortunately not much. they claim you can make 600-1800. per week but thats far from the truth. some say you barely earn minimum wage. you have high startup costs such as tools and birddog meters. you need tools, insurance and more before even starting. then if the install isnt done correctly, you dont get paid (... i currently work for directv and there are techs there making 50k+. just depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put into the company just to assure others get to watch tv while you work 12 hour shifts every day
