What type of secondary school teachers are more in demand: Biology teachers or Social Science teachers?

I like both subjects but I’m more into Social Sciences than Biology. I’ve talked to a couple of people about this but they were trying to convince me to chose Biology instead because there would be more job offers for Biology teachers than Social Science teachers.

Being a secondary education teacher myself I can tell you out of those two I would say Biology. I do recommend that you be well rounded and include other sciences. In Australia there is definitely more of a demand for biology teachers simply because more secondary schools have it as part of their curriculum. If you're looking to almost guarantee a job maths and possibly physics would do that. good luck ;)
