what exactly do most pharmacists do?

Can anyone give me the day to day stuff on what a pharmacists job entails? And are there other options besides working at a pharmacy? Oh and how many years of schooling does it take?

They make and count the drugs that the doctors prescribed. They help to give advice about drugs to patients. Pharmacists work in hospitals, retail drug stores, and clinics. It takes about 2 years of the pre-pharm program and 4 years in about 6 more years after you get your bachelors degree. Hope... More

They basically prescribe medicine to people all day...Between 200 to 600 prescriptions a day...It pays a good amount of money...But if you mess up just once...You could run the risk of killing someone, or putting them in the hospital...I'd say about six to eight years of college

Depends where you work.. Pharm. always work in pharmacies, but some are in hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers... also depending on the location of the job may depend on what they do... like doing the actual compounding of a drug. 9 x's out of 10 pharm. who work in ur local pharmacy mainly fill prescriptions and...
