Can you answer some question about Government jobs and Education Benefits from family members service?

Seeking information about something my father in law heard over the radio. Government jobs for Immigration Services so on and so forth. What are some of the jobs that I can do without any prior experience and where do I go to apply for them. Seeking 45k and up. I also am wondering what benifits exist for the grandchildren of people who have served in the armed forces. Are there any college benifits I can get using the GI Bill if my grandfather and other family members have served in the military?

GI bill is for those who served, not their family members. Spouses and children may use it if the AD member is killed or 100% disabled. You may qualify for a scholarship because of the family history, but not because a grandparent or uncle or aunt served.

You don't get college benefits from family members service. It looks like the latest law that that will be passed will allow for that, an absolutely STUPID idea, will pass, but not for past veterans service.

The GI Bill is for Veterans. It is good for 10 years after we are legacy payments to our children or our grandchilden. These are benefits you will need to get off your computer and go earn yourself if you want them... More
