In my employment if we are ever advertising positions recruitment agencies will telephone and ask if they could recommend suitable candidates (for a fee obviously) so I think there must be a fair bit of cold calling involved... More

There is a lot of sales in recruitment. You have to know what to say and when to say it because there are so many recruiters out there.
