What is the difference between a staff nurse and registered nurse?

I just wanted to know if a staff nurse and RN are the same thing, and which is better and gets paid more. What are the responsibilities of both?

a staff nurse is just a RN who works the floor. They take care of patients in whatever setting the job is. They are not managment.

The RN is your licensure, as opposed to being an LPN. You need that to any job that requires an RN. One of the many positions that you could do as an RN is a staff nurse, which is working on a floor in a hospital.
