When i buy a book i always check the last page to make sure the characters are still alive by the end? Does?

But sometimes in great stories, the main character DOES die. The Spartans at Thermopylae in for instance - King Leonidas dies with all of his Hoplite soldiers. Had he have lived, the story would have been awful. But, yeah, I see what you mean LOL.

Yeah, I do the same thing, I know it spoils the ending, but I like finding out what happens to them at then end!
