Are you a research associate / assistant at biotech company? what makes you like your job?
Please help. I am currently working as a research associate in an academic environment. The salary is low, the job is not challenging, and the learning curve plateau after a while. It becomes like a routine menial job. Before I decide to change career,I wonder if the research associates working in the big biotech companies (such as genentech, amgen, invitrogen, etc) like their job. If yes, what makes you like the job? what's the prospect of career advancement? I don't intend to pursue Ph.D. btw.
