Is it too late to join an extracurricular in 11th grade and look good to colleges?
In this coming September, I will be a junior in my high school. I have participated in AVID since ninth grade, community service, play piano (something of interest), and have a 3.2 grade average but I still need to join a club or extracurricular. (I have been in anime club the past year but I fear colleges will not take that seriously.) Help!

Never too late - by the way, this stuff is not only good for college. Remember to add these things to your future resume as well! Even things that don't pertain to the job like the anime. You would be surprised how it helps. It will "pad" your resume and let your future employer know you are a well rounded... More

It's never too late to join a club. As long as you carry it through to next year, you'll have a solid 2 years under your belt. And with as much as you have going on, you'll be just fine.
