What is the best warship out there?

In the sea's and ocean's, what warship would you say is the best? If your awkward and say they all do a different job, then what is your favorite warship and why? I heard HMS Chatham was a pretty nice warship, but don't know much about it.

I was loving the USS Bulkeley last Friday, since she was finally bringing my husband home to me... :) (DDG84 is a guided missile destroyer)

Keep in mind that every carrier is required to keep one warship underneath it to protect it. No carrier has as much firepower on-board as each sub carries.

With todays political correctness you will go a long way calling any ship a pretty nice warship.

Aircraft carriers are dependant on naval support from other vessels and submarines. without that they don't function and could probally be taken out of action by virtually any modern submarine attack group. the most awesome ships in the past were dreadnought class vessels in ww1
