What does a cook in a casual dining resturaunt make per hour compared to fast food?

I agree with both answers above me. It does depend on where you live and the job market there. You will face greater expectations in a casual restaurant as a cook. depending on what are of the country you live in, I would say that you could easily make $10-$12 per hour in a casual dining atmsphere. and i live in a not so high end city.

See as you already know.. in fast food you don't have cooks. You basically have a line with 2 to 3 workers on it who split the making proccess. usually $12 and up to $17 depending on how nice, and busy the resturant is. If you get hired, and go in there like you know what you doing, management will notice. When it's time for a raise, there will be no question about it!!
