Can a felon become an engineer,contracter, architect, or construction manager?

I have a felony and am looking for a career path. I know some jobs don't care and that some don't even ask. I want to make sure i go to school for something that i can actually be.

Sure, you can go to school and get an education in just about anything you want. The issue is that a record of any kind will scare off some potential employers and close you out of some opportunities (like anything that requires a security clearance for instance). Having a felony on your record, may shy away some employers. But you will be asked to explain it in an interview. If you are able to get the job done and work well with others, there is no reason you can't be successful in the field.
