What does everyone think of Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell's statement about Aliens being real?

This was on the news today........What do you think, and what do you think the Government will say? He says extraterrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions — but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades. Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview in Birmingham, England, that sources at NASA who had had contact with aliens described the beings as "little people who look strange to us." He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a "small gray" — short, slight frame, large eyes and large head. Mitchell also claimed human technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as the aliens' and "had they been hostile," he warned "we would be been gone by now."...... URWUMPE.......Or Possibly a year ago he just got fed up with keeping governmental secrets that he thought should not be kept. Did you ever consider that. Maybe he thinks he is at the right age now where they won't have him killed off or just plain publicly humiliated for speaking out. He is only 77, so that means he started a year ago. And that makes him not creditible? He also didn't sacrifice he career with NASA over a hobby. He retired from the Navy in 1972 and also decided it was quits for NASA at the time. He wasn't kicked out, he left on his accord.

Because astronauts have seen UFO's in space - and these are highly trained, calm, rational people.

its true Why do you think Neil Armstrong became a recluse after going to the moon, because the government told him to be quiet about the aliens they met on the moon. Neil Armstrong being an honest man would rather not tell lies to the public when asked about his mission up there

He was a paranormal fan as astronaut and sacrificed his NASA career for this hobby. Now, he is not much smarter, rather the opposite. He started talking about the UFO conspiracy at the age of 76, long after he left NASA for "researching" paranormal stuff.

Dr Mitchell provides no evidence to back up his statements. He says that he never saw then himself. He just knows someone who knows someone, and all the papers are gone. He also says that the technology does not involve wormholes or anything exotic that violates our understanding of a 4 dimensional spacetime. But then... More

He's a nutball. He thinks a teenager named Adam Dreamhealer from Vancouver cured him of kidney cancer from a distance with psychic powers. Does that sound like a credible source to you?
