Can anyone reccomend me a good anime?
Ok I have VERY specific requirements. I want an anime as good as Avatar: the last Airbender. I swear that is the best animated thing existing. Japanese anime are so flawed. they alwasy have 1 or some of the following issues: 1) animation = bargh 2) plotline = badly paced 3) plotline = just plain sucks 4) art style = ugly 5) humor = ATROCIOUS. Japan has the WORST sense of humor EVER. 6) plotline has filler episodes 7) producers messed up manga storyline basically there is always something wrong. don't get me wrong, I like anime. & there are a couple of exceptions. so for those who are gonna say, well if its so flawed don't watch it, please don't answer. its same the same tricks over and over again. Avatar was perfect in every way it can be perfect. In fact, I will buy the entire series on DVD one day. i think it to be the only thing worth buying. FMA is awesome too, but I've seen the series several times already. and it was bloody. Avatar had action without being bloody. I ran out of room before lol. anyway. y specific requirements are: 1) no (lame) crossdressing (scenarios) 2) no gay stuff like Loveless (i do like the synopsis of it though) 3) no rated R. It's ok if it's as sparse and meaningless and harmless as in Inuyahsa (no "steamy" stuff). 4) innocent. no Evangelion and definitely not Elfen Lied (which I'm trying to erase from my memory) 5) GOOD humor if its supposed to be funny. none of that meaningless laughter you find in Marmalade Boy where some thing not haha funny happens but they laugh for an hour anyway. but I actuallu liked Marmalade Boy. I think its my favorite romantic comedy. Fruits Basket was so ridiculously lame I couldn't bare to watch it. and i think the animation was really cheap. and they totally messed up the manga! 6) no fan service! i hate that. To-Love-Ru. saw like 3 episodes. the ep with that crazy alien lady who looks after the alien star sensation girl with the pink hair. yeah, that ep did NOT make me laugh. 7) i don't mind gruesome. I've seen the worst I assure you. Hellsing FMA Elfen Lied Eureka 7. But I prefer you recomend a roantic comedy. its one of those I can't find something good. 8) good art style. vampire knight, FMA, Eureka 7, Naruto, DNAngel all have good styles. I hate the Marmalade Boy style. It just ruins the experience for me. not to say, I won't watch something drawn like that. Peach girl was good too. Last but not least. the thing that is most important to me: good romantic comedy. DNAngel was good & Ouran high School Club has the best example of all the usual Japanese stuff being used wisely. the crossdressing fits in well. the humor is actually funny and it had a good ending. Rozen Maiden was awesome. but the ending was SO dissappointing. oh i forgot! 9) (or was it 10?) good characterization. no dumb as rock people. thats just stupid. the black haired girl from Special A is a complete moron. Speaking of Special A, i love the drawing style, the plotline is ridiculous, and it seems like a rip-off of Ouran High School Host Club, but is actually awful. just like how Tokyo Mew Mew ripped off Sailor Moon. but Tokyo Mew Mew is actually good. except that the plot focus shifts half way through. What happened to the save the Earth message? Also, whoever designed Black Cat's outfit was a moron. the black donuts on his jacket look stupid. and the ending wasn't quite right. wow if you read all that and give me a REALLY good answer I'll give you the t********s. Please let what you recomend have good pacing. no Naruto or Bleach fight lengths. Every time I watch a new ep I'm excited but I also want to rip my hair out. Vampire Knight is actually very smart. Almost nothing happens every episode but you're interested in every moment. Kure'nai was awesome. my one complaint was the ending. it was disappointing to watch. Oh and back to the good characterization. I hate passive people. you know how in romantic comedies people always get *forced* into doing something they don't want to do. like going somewhere or being touched in some way. they just let it happen to them. well that is SO annoying I almost do rip out my hair. its not like that in real life. if you don't want someone hugging you you say get off leave me alone. In Marmalde Boy Ginta just lets Arimi drag him away instead of taking control of the situation and tell her to back off. i HATE that passive attitude that is ALWAYS present in Japan's romantic comedies and it is never believable. Most slice of life roantic comedies are never good unless there is some other more important plot going on. Black Cat was good. I just didn't like Sai the way she always stole his milk and acted obnoxious. but I suppose you can't make 'em perfect. Black Cat, DNAngel, Eureka 7, Fruits Basket -the manga. all good. Ouran High Host Club. Tokyo Mew Mew. I totally fell in love with Kisshu! but the drawing style stunk after they changed it. It became a much lower quality. I don't like styles that do REALLY big hair. with those two horsetails popping out from the top of their head to make the characters look even more ridiculous. wow. I have seen a lot of anime. if you actually read all this and still give me an answer that meets all my requirements. i don't know. I'll post a question about nothing and pick you as best answer so you can get an extra 10 points. good luck =)

ok. My favorite of all time is FLCL (Fooly Cooly). It's a short series but I love the anime style (actually there are many) and it has a very creative plotline. It's very funny as well but be warned, you must pay attention. It was written by a pretty twisted guy and as such jumps around a bit and can be kinda hard to... More

Well, I suppose Naruto is really good. And in my case, it's graphics are really nice, their humors is somewhat funny and the animation... well, I don't know. Though on their fights, I think they do spill blood, yet not that much unless they are killed. Death Note is also another anime that doesn't envolve much blood... More
