What kind of job could I get where id I need to move often i can keep my same job?

My boyfriend is trying to get a job at this pipeline but when the job is done here he is going to follow it to another location. I want to have a job also but I want to be able to travel around with him instead of staying home while he is gone for 6-8 months at a time. I want to find a job that I could have for that long and then move to another location and have the same job for about the same amount of time. I don't know if any job exists where they don't mind you transfering that much but I thought I'd see what some people had to say. I also figure that even if I have little jobs in each city then that would look bad to potential employers in another city.
