Excluding Hell, why should I be a Christian?

I've noticed that when I step on the toes of colloquial religious beliefs, the threat of hell, or damnation, usually comes up. Hell doesn't scare me anymore. If God's going to d**n me for thinking, then I might as well say "d**n Him." The more that I think about it, I can't live my life under the pretense that if I trip up, I'm going to go to hell because of it. Whether or not it's true is irrelevant. I'd rather be in hell for doing what's right than live a life where I constantly cower under the threat of divine retribution. So, excluding hell, why should I stay a Christian? God doesn't care about me, you, or anyone else. I'm starting not to give a d**n about him, either.
