Older woman looking for eemployment tips please?

hi every one ok my mum who is in her 50s has decided after been ahouse wife for 22 years she would like to get a job, she never went to collage but worked in retail where she did very well working up to a supervisor postion. But that was ove 20 years ago and times have changed a lot. she wants part time work, we dont need the money i think its more so she can have more self independance and a better social life having given up her best years raising 4 girls now all growan up. its hard nuf to get a job never mind my mums age and not having worked for so long, iam afraid shel take it to heart if she gets refused. what can i do to help her? what sort of jobs would be best? we live in ireland

i would help her by suggesting some places to her. also try department stores,walmart would be a good one! dollar stores,convient stores. or restraunts as a waitress or kitchen help. good luck and i wish her the best!
