They aren't babies because the eggs are unfertilized. No s***m = no baby.

its an unfertilized egg, so basically it was NOT born and it was not going to be ;) ♥

Yea, eggs we eat come from chickens, and they are simply chicks that haven't developed yet. The yolk is the chick.
Answered By: Mindi - 8/11/2008
The baby was never born.
Answered By: electronics - 8/11/2008
chickens have eggs on a regular basis, but the ones with babies in them are fertilized (a male chicken had sex with the female to produce a chick). unfertilized eggs, are eaten by us.

crack an egg open, and look for that weird stringy white part, thats the chicken
Answered By: Cole M - 8/11/2008
They are unfertilized eggs. There was never any s***m introduced, so basically chickens lay them on a cycle, and if there is no mating with a rooster, they are unfertilized and no baby chicken at all in there.

most stupidest??? not a very good start... chickens form in the egg and as they get bigger the yolk is what they feed off of... if you look at the egg that you make next and see a little white thing in the clear part of the egg, well honey there is the chicken...

The eggs that we eat are not fertilized by the male hen yet. The ones that we don't eat are the ones that go on to be fertilized by the male hen and get born later on....

ok it is a stupid question but the eggs are embryos

i am kinda confused to ur question but eggs that our hatched our chicks.... and the eggs that we eat are the ones that come streight from the hen almost so yes they were alive once but not in ur fridge
Answered By: simmyjounior - 8/11/2008
No, they have not been fertilized yet, so the chick will NEVER be born so no point buying eggs and trying to hatch them

unfertilised eggs. basically, they are a chickens period.
Answered By: Devikararawr - 8/11/2008
the eggs you eat haven't been warmed (sat on or in incubator) and left to "grow" for several weeks. the eggs you eat were snatched from the nest and were put directly in the fridge, thereby stopping any further growing ....
Answered By: uknowit - 8/11/2008
The chicken eggs that you are eating are not fertilized; meaning never did s***m enter the egg and those is is only a "dud" egg. You are not eating unborn chickens, if that very egg that you are cracking for your morning omelet were left alone it would not hatch into a little chick, it would just rot.

Not a stupid question. The eggs we eat in the west are not fertilized. They have no embryo inside. This is accomplished by keeping the rooster out of the hen house. In certain Asian countries fertilized eggs (duck eggs) are consumed.

No, it's not the stupidist question ever. Quest for knowledge is never stupid...it's refusing to learn that is stupid. "fetal" is the word used for the living creature that is being created but has not been given birth to yet..henceforth, fetal chicken is in the egg..much like the fetal human comes from a a fertilized... Essentially, they're fetuses. Human fetuses (unborn babies) are protected and sustained in the womb- chicken fetuses are protected and sustained in the egg. So those other eggs contain unborn bay chickens, and are only made through the union of a rooster and a hen. The regular eggs we eat are only made by chickens... More

Hi, It's not a stupid question because most people ask the same question. They are eggs that are not fertilized. So go ahead and joy your eggs. If you have trouble eating them add onions, cheese and even ham to the eggs. Now doesn't that make your tummy hungry.

I 'm going to tell you like I told my boyfriend: Eggs are babies. They have both the s***m and the egg in one shell. The s***m is what we call the egg whites, the egg is the yellow part. When a chicken or incubator heats the egg up, the egg gets the heat it needs to survive. But keep them cold and they become breakfast... More
