I am going to start paralegal classes at a community college this week, I am having second thoughts about it?
I have two young kids and am finacially tight, am I doing the right thing or should I look for some other job ? Are the job prospects for Paralegals good and will I get enough time with my kids once I take a paralegal job ? Please advice.

Check it out and if you're still having doubts then try a different major. Make sure you're choosing something you will be satisfied with in the long run so you wont have any regrets.

You are just scared of the unknown. Go for it! If you go out and get another job, you'll only be satisfied for a little while, until you realize if you would have made it through school you would be making better money by now without a dead end job.

A friend of mine is a paralegal and she loves it. She doesn't make as much as a lawyer, but her salary is really good. She makes more money than her husband. She does put in long hours when they are getting ready to go to court, but they still have time on weekends for their activities.

Depends on what area of law you are looking to go into, I have been a paralegal for 10 years and the nice thing about being a paralegal is that you can use the education anywhere, risk management, insurance, you name it. I have never once regretted getting my degree.
